Here, I show you how to check whether the PR of a domain is valid or fake.

OK here is a situation for you. You find a domain here which has a PageRank yet it’s not indexed i.e. when you check with Google and find no record of it being indexed!!!

What do you do? Is it worth taking the risk and registering it?

This is a slightly longer than usual article, but please bear with me. You’ll find it very useful. I promise.

Over at Domain Left, I come across plenty of these domains regularly. They are published with a colour code Orange, and with increasingly improving Google technology to aiming to clamp down and remove quickly such “Expired Gems” Orange domains will become more common.

If we look back at the process of domain expiration, let’s say asgsoft.net (which I used to own and lost due to lack of experience) it had a period of 30 days which I lost all control over DNS management, unless I renewed it. During that time it was in the hands of the registrar (such as Godaddy/Name.com etc.) and they would publish a standard parking page saying something along the lines of “asgsoft.net has expired. The owner has 30 days to renew the domain name from the expiry date.” And that is true. The owner has 30 days to renew it after it’s officially expired without any problems what so ever.

Assuming the 30 days are up and I don’t renew the domain then it enters the final phase more commonly known as “Pending-Deletion” which is a 14 day period during which I don’t have control over the domain at all. Now it’s gone, and that period is for backorder companies to allow them to place pre-orders on it, so once it drops it’s picked up straight away, which unfortunately happened with asgsoft.net.

Total time that a registrar’s parking page has been displayed now on asgsoft.net is 44 days! Now, if a domain has a PR1+ it must mean that it has an OK-ish set of backlinks. That would mean that Google’s spider (Cleverer than your ordinary spider) is visiting on a regular basis, and has most likely detected the change in the contents, maybe from a unique contents page to a more familiar parking page.

My theory is, once the parking page has been detected then the domain is ear-marked and once it remains on display for X amount of days, then the domains, which in that case is asgsoft.net is removed from the index. Yet the PageRank remains unaffected, but again, that is only for a set certain number of days say Y after it has been removed. Google is not commenting on this theory and unfortunately I don’t have exact values for the X and Y days.

I also think it’s extremely possible to convert an Orange domain to a valid PageRank domain in less than a week. Last month, I bought an expired domain PR2 I published here which wasn’t indexed in Google. I placed a small simple contents page and linked to it from a PR3 site, submitted it to major search engines using this tool and to Google itself, set up a sitemap and also added it there and also to Live and waited. Within a week it was back re-indexed and the PageRank has been validated. It now is a Valid PR2 domain which I got for $1.99

One thing I forgot to do was to add a Google Analytics code to it to monitor its traffic, so I shall be doing so in the next experiment I conduct.

As a result of that experiment I shall be altering the software I have made that creates the lists to hide fake PR domains (No one wants them) but to also include domains which are not indexed since I am sure with a tiny bit of work their PageRank can be re-instated and they are as good as new.

What are your views??

Here, I share with you the best ways of getting started with a new expire domain sharing some of the methods I use to promote them.

Dear Readers,

How about that! An Expired Valid PR4 domain yesterday for you. Whoever registered it must be so pleased.

Anyway I wanted to write this article for a while now and here it is. I wanted to say what you will need to do once you register a domain. This is what I think in my opinion and is what I usually do with nothing withheld from you.

So I have registered an expired domain with a Valid PR4 like the one I had yesterday. Now what?

What I would do firstly is find some hosting and add some contents, that would be several pages of unique content.

Secondly I would add Google Analytics so I can monitor current traffic and see what it’s sources are. I would also usually use Domain-Pop that gives a decent breakdown of the domains backlinks. The only problem I find with it is that it takes some time to get the PageRank of the backlinks in order.

I then would leave it alone for a week to see what current traffic is like, the sources of traffic, percentage of returning to new visitors and where I can improve them.

After the week passes I would check if it’s indexed in major search engines such as google, yahoo and MSN (Live) by entering these search queries:

Google: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3Adomain.com
Yahoo: http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fdomain.com
MSN (Live): http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?q=site%3Adomain.com

If it’s listed then GREAT, you got indexed within 7 days, otherwise don’t worry, we’ll get there.

This step is a must to ensure constant indexing and a good SERPS for your domain. You would need to generate a sitemap for your website. What this does is generate a network of all the pages on your website and present it to search engines as if to say “Look here, I’ll save you the trouble of looking for pages, here is a list of the pages for you to index“. The best free tool I found is http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ which to be honest is great in every aspect of the word. It’s Free, Easy to use and has a nice interface.

Once you upload it you then submit it to google by going to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview?hl=en which is the base google uses to communicate with webmasters.

Recently MSN launched a similar service which does the same think, but instead, just for MSN at http://webmaster.live.com/.

Once you did that I really recommend the next step. Semi-Automatic Directory Submission for FREE. Digixmas have developed an amazing piece of software that will send it to 150 directories for free. You will only have to copy the CAPTCHA code, select the category and press OK. Their link is: http://www.digixmas.com/

Finally, to let everyone know about your website I really recommend adding it to Stumble Upon and Digg as they are visited by a lot of people with wide range of interests, and if someone finds it interesting they will for sure check it out. There are other networks out there but not as big as both the ones I mentioned.

After you did all the steps mentioned above give it 2-3 days and use google analytics to monitor traffic.

Let me know what you get if you followed these steps.

Do you do anything extra? or cut out any of these steps?

I hope you like this list

See you on Monday with another list of expired domains

Enjoy

Learn the steps you should take before buying an expired domain.

Before you go and buy an expired domain please read these simple steps that will show you whether that domain is a gem in the rough or just another pointless domain.

Firstly how old is the domain been indexed properly for? What was previously on it glands swollen effects ear accutane side ? Is it something you can continue or even improve on?

Well to find out you use the wayback machine which will tell you all you need to know about its history.

Secondly did it get any traffic before?

People will disagree with what I am about to say but I believe that Alexa is a good indicator of how traffic to the site has changed over time, becuase other than that you can’t really get anything that has monitored the traffic for your specific domain. The higher the nummber the worse, but its expected becuase it has expired. So look at the prime age of the domain rather than the last days. Possibly use a longer time-span to look at the traffic’s trend.

Thirdly and pretty important too, is there any decent backlinks?

These are extremely important for you to see what impact the site had on people. Did the previous owners manage to pick up backlinks from others due to the quality of their content? Or did they exchange a lot of links? Or did they just go and buy links? Backlinks Watch does a great job in showing you the backlinks the site has.

Finally does the domain have a valid PageRank (PR) that is lasted?

Usually when some domains expire and google realises it drops its also its indexed pages. Making it seem to have an invalid or unknown PR. However there are some good tools out there that would find out for you for certain.

Try all of these and see what you get?

I highly recommend the first one becuase its trusted and not easily fooled, however the rest are still good.

1. CheckPageRank.net: < Recommended
http://checkpagerank.net/index.php?n…in.com&links=1
2. VerifyGooglePageRank.com:
http://www.verifygooglepagerank.com/…yourdomain.com
3. iWebTool.com:
http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_che…yourdomain.com
4. SeoLogs.com:
http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/page…yourdomain.com
5. DigPageRank.com:
http://digpagerank.com/index.php?url…main.com&dc=18
6. PageRank.net:
http://www.pagerank.net/pagerank-checker
7. PRchecker.info:
http://prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
8. DomainPageRank.com:
http://domainpagerank.com

Finally see if its indexed by google

lights brite glo

, and if it is, are there any inner pages with PR. I am working on a tool which I will submit here when I finish it. This would so useful because you can re-use these pages

So I hope that this artlcle shows you how and why you should get an excellent PR expired domain which you can maximise on both in traffic and profits. The possibilities are endless.

Enjoy and don’t get ripped off

Learn how to find MySpace accounts which have PR.

Well I tried this and it worked and decided to share it with you.

I will show you how to get free links from myspace that have PR.

Theory

depakote numbness

Bands/Popular people on myspace tend to have lots of friends and lots incoming links to their profile from other pages that usually have PR, thus the profiles gains PR too. You can then use these profiles to put your own links on it or even make lots friends and sell it on for lots of $$

Implantation effects side clomid of nasty

Firstly visit this link and look through

Click on the repeat the search with the omitted results included button.

You will see a lot of listings similar to www.myspace.com/myspacename

Check the PR – You can find easily some high PR invalid profiles using this awsome tool

Sign up for a MySpace account, and then customize your MySpace URL to be myspacename

Now www.myspace.com/myspacename is yours!

And from there customise your own profile and start building lots of friends.

Enjoy

Well you want to know a place where you can get domains that are about to expire?

OK I’ll tell you.

Have you visited http://www.deletedlive.com/ ?

It has an ever growing databse of domains which are all about to expire.

It offers an extensive detailed search for domains which are about to expire. The problem though is that they could be backordered and maybe ruining the chances of getting it, so a backorder would always be useful.

However I was told by the owner that they are plannning huge makeoveres for the site over the next couple of weeks that will make it live lists of available domains which have PR and also offer more statistcs about each domain, promising to be one of the best of its kind around.

Happy Domaining

All you need to know about dropped domains.

Dear Readers,

This is an issue that concerns quite a lot of people. Does the domain keep it’s PR after it’s dropped?

Lots of people believe what fake PR checkers tell them and don’t bother checking how they reached their conclusion.

Google Drops the PR straight to 0 as soon as it realizes the domain has dropped. But as soon as it has a website again and gets indexed it gets it PR back. But how do you check if the PR is real or fake?

For the sake of demonstration I’ll use example.info as the domain I’ll use.

Now the domain has dropped so the Google site command will not work and will not show any indexed pages.

This is usually a good method to see if the domain is Fake if it’s still available because doing “site:example.info” would show another website if it was fake.

So what can you do?

Here are 5 Steps for you to follow

1- Check the PR of the links by typing “link:example.info” in google. If it shows some links with PR then the domain is likely to have a valid PR.

2- Check it’s status back in time using the wayback machine which goes back some time so you can monitor how the domain was doing and the older the domain the better it is because it has a higher value.

3- Check with Yahoo’s backlink checker tool: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com. (You will need to register free)

4- Check the traffic ranking. I controversially suggest Alexa because it might be able to provide you with trends on the traffic.

5- Do you genuinely believe you can put original content and keep it up rather than making it a link far?

So there are other ways of seeing if the domain has a real PR.

I hope this clarifies some issues with my readers.

Why not lease it, a bit like “Buy to let”? And offer a reward for any improvements they achieve?

I’ll try and do the same with http://www.99adz.com/ and publish my findings.

Have you done something similar?

Why not let us know?

Another method for generating revenue from expired domains.

Good Day to all of my valued readers

Its this time of the week again, where I post a tip for all you domainers out there.

So you bought an Expired domain with a valid PR3-4 and you have parked it.

Acctaully rather than doing that why not start making money from it by selling links.

You can do this in several ways. But I’ll discuss two of the methods in this post.

Method 1 – Private Sales

You can sell links to your site privately by seeking advertisers and selling them links. The advantage of that is that its direct contact with the buyer but the disadvantage is that you might not maximise your potential if you don’t know who to contact.

Method 2 – 3rd Party

There are some good sites that allow you to advertise your site. They are good because they have lots of publishers looking for good related links, however the problem with them is that there is no direct contact with the publisher.

I recommend Text-Link-Ads because: they have lots of advertisers and they are extremely easy to use.

So here is todays tip for making instant money of your domains.

Enjoy

I discuss whether the TLD affects the ranking of a domain.

Whats all the fuss about wanting a .com/.net because it helps your ranking?

Thats is completely not true. Does having a common name say John make you less popular? or is it what you do that affects your popularity?

A domain is only a name, what matters with it is hat you do with it. Below are three situations where a domain with extension other than .com/.net etc has managed to make good success in my opinion.

Lets look at the keyword “check pagerank” in google. Oh what a surprise, a .info domain is in second!!

I managed to get a .be domain (Belgium, when there were being given out for free) to PR4, made $50 from it and sold it for $150 when it had 4 days left.

I also managed to run a hosting company from a .info domain, got the PR of it to PR4, made a constant monthly revenue of $45 per month and also sold it on for $250. Does all of this show you something?

What you might find off-putting in a .info/.be domain is they were cheap or even free for a while, so lots of people bought them and did useless stuff with them like MFA sites. This has certainly plummeted their credibility and even their worthwhile. But being able to do something useful that will let you keep a reader visiting provides a bigger challenege becuase it means you have to restore trust in these extensions.

So my advice is go out there, buy any domain you want wheather its a .info or .com or .tk or what ever, work on it hard and you will get a good return. And whatever you do don’t make it a MFA site.

I hope you find this useful!!

In this tutorial I explain what a tween is, and demonstrating various forms of animated tweens such as motion tweens, shape tweens and morphing.

A tween is a movement between at least two keyframes. There are two types of tweens a motion tween and a shape tween.

Motion tween is a tween where an object’s changes seize and or position smoothly. it is usually a blue arrow linking two keyframes.

Creating motion tweens.

To create a tween you first of all have to create two tweens. Draw an object on your workspace. Then you press on key frame 10 for example with the mouse then you press F6. That will create a keyframe. It should look something like this so far.

If you press return or enter the red indicator will move from frame 1 to frame 10, but between 1 and 10 there is no change. On keyframe 1 or 10 change the size by the free transform tool or position by the select tool. Right click on the area between keyframes 1 and 10 then press “create motion tween”. If it looks something like this no problem, just right on key frame 10 the one that is not shaded blue and press “create motion tween”. . Now it should look like this .

If you get this then one of the things it means is that not all the objects in keyframe 1 are the ones in keyframe 10. For example an extra object could have been on keyframe 10 that is not on 1. So all the objects on keyframe (kf) 1 should be on kf 10 or else the part that is common in both keyframes will be tweened while the new object will just appear from nowhere. Later in this tutorial I will tell you common used of motion tweens.

Fading text

1) Create a new document
2) Create a keyframe on frames 1
3) On keyframe 1 write “welcome here”
4) Right click on the text and press convert to symbol,
5) Select graphic
6) Create a keyframe on frames 10
7) On the text pres once then in the colour choose alpha change it to 100 to be visible
On keyframe 1 change the text’s alpha to 0
9) Click on any frame between keyframes 1 and 10
10) In the properties panel select shape for the tween.

Like before if a keyframe is not highlighted blue, right click on it and press create motion
see what i mean.

Shape tweens.

A shape tween is when an object transforms from one shape to another. To make it clearer will be doing three things: changing a square to a circle; “hello” to “how are you”, and also changing a red square to a blue square.

Changing a square into a circle.

1. Create a new document
2. Create a keyframe on frame 1
3. On keyframe 1 draw a square
4. Create a keyframe on frames 10
5. On keyframe 10 delete the square and draw a circle
6. Click on any frame between keyframes 1 and 10
7. In the properties panel select shape for the tween.
8. Like before if a keyframe is not green right click on it and press create motion tween.
. now your time line should look like this .

Creating a red square to a blue square

1) Create a new document
2) Create a keyframe on frames 1
3) On keyframe 1 draw a red square
4) Create a keyframe on frames 10
5) On keyframe 10 delete the square and draw a blue circle
6) Click on any frame between keyframes 1 and 10
7) In the properties panel select shape for the tween.
Like before if a keyframe is not green right click on it and press create motion tween.

To change colour you select the square for example and then in the bucket in the properties panel change the colour or in the tool bar change the bucket colour to what every you want or from the colour swatches panel on the side. You may have noticed that these steps are very similar to the ones above the.

Changing hello to how are you(morphing text)

1) Create a new document
2) Create a keyframe on frames 1
3) Select the text tool and click on the work area
4) Type hello
5) Go to modify and the break apart
6) Do the above step again
7) Create a keyframe on frames 10
On keyframe 10 delete hello
9) Select the text tool and click on the work area
10) Type how are you
11) Go to modify and the break apart
12) Do the above step again.
13) Click on any frame between keyframes 1 and 10
14) In the properties panel select shape for the tween.
15) Like before if a keyframe is not green right click on it and press shape tween in the properties panel
16) Press return or enter.
You will see that you can change the colour of the text on either keyframes to whatever you want but after breaking apart twice. The timeline should look like this.

This all I have for you about tweens but here are some common web uses of motion tweens:

-from big to small and vice versa
-from right to left and vice versa as like a marquee
-fade in or out

These are the only ones I can think of right now but there are hundreds of other effects. If you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact me and i will be happy to help.
